About Us
The Mound View Neighborhood Resource Center (MVNRC) is a 501 (C) (3) Not-for-Profit Corporation serving the needs of the Mound View neighborhood in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Established in 2006, the Resource Center hosts a number of community service groups and organizations which are actively involved in neighborhood, family and individual assistance programs.

 

The center is a Not-for Profit Corporation chartered in the State of Iowa and relies solely on grants and contributions from the community.

Our Partners
Our program partners include Central Park Church who houses the Center and its partners and provides volunteer help for the organization, the Mound View Neighborhood Association which meets at the Center 10:00am the second Saturday of each month to discuss neighborhood matters, the Neighborhood Resource Desk provides assistance and information to neighborhood residents, the Weed and Seed program works on removing undesirable elements from the neighborhood and encouraging better neighborhood growth, the Partnership For Safe Families which works with troubled families to provide a safe environment for children, the VITA Center which provides free income tax service for the neighborhood residents, the VISTA Program or Volunteers in Service to America, and the Department of Correctional Services has a neighborhood officer residing at the center.
